Little miss Rock Star {Cache Valley Logan UT Child Newborn Family Photographer}

The weather was crisp and cool, but inside was warm and delightful today! I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day then to be celebrating a new birth with such a wonderful family. Little Miss Briggs wanted to be the STAR of her own show and insisted on being awake for the whole thing except the last 10 mins. And for a 6 day old to be awake for 2 1/2 hours is quite an accomplishment! I can't complain because I got to see those big beautiful eyes that are so rare for a newborn session. She really is a little beauty!

I was up late going through these images from today and I thought I might as well blog them tonight. The sound of children giggling and playing just warms my heart! I love that it got plenty warmed today along with the sound of my own children.

 It was such an honor to spend time with this family and have them come up from West Valley to have me capture these memories for me. I love how darling their adorable little blonde children are! Thanks again Ben and Tami it was a lot of fun!

This is the second time this year I got to spend time with this fun family. Earlier it was all the extended family which was a BLAST! it felt alot more personal just me and them this time. Seriously, I absolutly love being with this family, I think I had a smile on my face the whole time :) As you can see why. Just look how beautiful they are! And I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to shoot on. Gees my luck was great for such a clear day in my hometown I even got a great shot of my beautiful Grand Teton Mountains in the background.. Enjoy!!!

Puppies and more Puppies

Among my many specialties in photography I also do animal portraits! I love it! I love working with people and hearing their amazing stories, but something about being on the ground and playing with these cuties makes me happy and relaxed. These cuties are only 6 of 23 that I have taken portraits of this year. Why so many you ask? Well these guys aren't just getting their photos taken for the heck of it, they are being trained by Puppy Steps Training (see website here) for new loving homes. Some of these puppies will be companion dogs, hunters, or even disability dogs. By the time they get to Puppy Steps training their blood lines have been screened and re-screened for this select training facility.  So at this point this is where I come in. I get to be the one who gets to do their portraits to be placed on their website for others to view who are looking for these specific dogs!!

I have loved working with the trainers there and love getting to play with these puppies while I work. And yes, they do have puppy breath!!

Zack, 2013 Senior {Child, Family, Senior, Newborn Photographer} {Logan Utah}

Look at me go I'm actually bloggin' tonight!! It must be this warm weather that we got for the last couple of days. Maybe, or maybe at 940 pm my kids are in bed and my husbands asleep and I actually get a few minutes to myself.. hmm.. yeah probably! Or perhaps after a senior session like tonights its hard not show off this great looking young man. I think thats it! So everyone meet Zack! A 2013 senior already for the big wide world and adventures that lay ahead of him.

We had alot of fun with his session and got to spend some time in the halls where he wanders through everyday.... Oh high school, you bring back fond memories. Needless to say I'm glad its over! hahaha

 

 

 I always ask my clients to bring props or something that is special and relates to them as to personalize their session. Zack is an artist as you can tell. I asked him what his favorite thing to draw was and he said eyes. He definitely can draw them well. What do you think?

 

 I think he just surpassed Tom Cruise in Top Gun!! ;-D

 

 Always have to get that sillouette shot for the night! I nailed it, go me! :)
